For the overall design and feel of the shed, we decided on a rustic, farm-style shed, with raw brick and dark grey Chromadek cladding. Steel windows at the workshop end allow lots of light in, and aids with cooling during hot days on the job. I didn't put a ceiling in (which, with hindsight was probably a mistake, as summers are hot and winters cold!), so good ventilation is essential. The farm-style look ensures the shed is not an eye-sore, and in fact, we think it has added to the aesthetics of our property immensely.
